Regressia

Walkthrough: Act 3

The Khandroma

After leaving the Tower of Conquest, search the area for the travelling nomad town, and talk to Wilhelm. If you have leveled several times since learning Pierce, he may teach you the Duel sword skill. Continue on to Willognook, speak with Chanji and Erastus, and restock on supplies. Next, head south to the Ancient Castle, where you can now destroy the magic rune and explore the first floor. There is nothing here besides restorative items and a gold, so leave the castle and travel to Red Haven once your curiosity is satisfied. Now that you have the Open skill, you might as well visit the house in the center of Red Haven and grab the New Shoes. In the Cafe you will find a Pirate offering to let you sail with him for 2000 gold pieces. Once you pay him, you will have control of the finest ship to ever plow the waves. Harr harr! Just be sure to save your progress before you go poking your greedy little fingers where they don't belong.

Tower of War

Sail East by Southeast, and you will come to the west coast of the eastern continent; you will also be very close to castle Ostniade. Continue east on foot until you reach the Tower of War. On the first floor you will encounter Panthers, Mercenaries, and Claymores. There are also several useful items on this floor, including an ancient tome. Take this back to Erastus to have him teach you the Wind spell. Do not continue on to the second floor if you are having difficulty with the enemies here.

The enemies on the second and third floors are more Mercenaries and Claymores, but added to that are Bombardier beetles and Stone Golems. On the third floor is a chest containing the hammer Mjolner. Using this hammer you may be able to defeat the 4 Headed Hydra which is on the second floor, guarding a chest. If not, don't worry about it, the Cursed Charm which it contains is no use to you right now.

Aries waits for you on the fourth floor. As before, use Fast and Freeze to tip the speed of the battle in your favor. If you have enough money, consider purchasing a Flame Shield from the nomad town, or using a Dragon Shield if you have one. If not, equip the Talaria for even more speed gain, but be sure to keep your health well over 50 - his Fire spell is very powerful. Aries can also cast Null; if he does, just reapply the Fast and Freeze.

Pirates' Cove

Walk back to the Khandroma, and sail northwest. When you find two rocks jutting out of the water, sail between them; here you will find the Pirates' Cove. There's a lot to be done here, but the only important thing to do is upgrade your ship. There are two smiths in town who can add more cannon to the Khandroma, or Reinforce her hull. You can do this now, if you have the money, or little by little over time. There is also a man who sells Grenades from his ship. These are expensive, but come in handy against the next several bosses.

Next, you should explore the second floor of the Ancient Castle west of Red Haven. There are several important items here, including the Spirit Hammer and an ancient tome. Take this to Erastus, and he will teach you the Return spell. Then, if you haven't already learned Duel from Wilhelm, do that.

Tower of Plague

Sail south and west until you come to a large island. On the east side of this island, in the middle of a swamp, will be the tower of plague. Inside you will encounter Negret demons, Lamia, and Satyrs. Besides gold and restorative items, there is nothing of interest on the first floor. On the second floor, however, you will find a chest containing an old tome. Take this to Erastus and he will teach you Cleanse, a skill which is very helpful in this tower. Try and defeat the Cave Giant guarding the chest on the third floor. The Cursed Sword it contains will be very useful to you shortly. Wind is, perhaps, the most effective offense against the Cave Giant.

On the fourth floor you will find someone waiting for you; talking to him will initiate a boss battle against the Wendigo. This enemy packs a strong punch, but doesn't have any special attacks until its health becomes critical. When that happens, it will begin to sap your health. This is a very strong attack, and you will have a hard time keeping your health up. The drawback is that every time the Wendigo saps your health, it gets slower, weaker, and cannot sap as much. Continue using Wind and Heal, and you will eventually defeat it. Continue down into the tower. On the first floor that is in darkness, search for a chest containing an ancient tome. Use this item, and you will learn how to speak and understand some of the ancient Larestran language.

Larestra

Leave the Tower of Plague, using the Return spell, if you have it [Or, you could continue down the tower and attempt to defeat the boss right now. Hey, why not?]. If you do not already have the Cursed Shield and Cursed Charm from the towers of Conquest and War, get those now. Then set sail for the northeast corner of the known world, where the Tower of Conquest stands, and down the river. At the mouth of the river you will find the town of Larestra. Talk to the townsfolk, and then to brother John in the shrine. He will offer to remove the curse from your items, but first you must get him something.

Leave town and walk southeast. Behind some trees, you will find a temple. This is a hostile area, but the monsters shouldn't be difficult. Walk north until you find an alter and some statues, then continue east through the brush. Go south at the first fork, and then immediately east again, through the trees. At the next fork, go south. This will curve around, take you north, and eventually out of the woods. Now you will find yourself in a clearing with a well. Heal, and then interact with the well. This will initiate a boss battle with Lilith. Like the Wendigo, Lilith will sap health from you when her health is critical - this is your cue to blast her with Wind, which should defeat her. Use the well again to heal your health and aura, and then take the item back to brother John. He'll remove the curse on your equipment, turning them into the Element Shield, the Blessed Charm, and the Mage Sword.
