Virus Problem

Iv been getting alot of virus popups saying an ip has connected to my computer from the byond/mozilla firebox programs... it also gives the ip...

i also get little messages in the bottom right corner of my screensaying System Alert: System Failure etc... its really bothers me when im playing a game and all this virus stuff popups so im wondering if theres any FREE good virus programs... iv tried norton,Antivir and ALOT more but they dont help they just say i have virus's... and once i remove them nothing changes... iv even purcahsed norton and it still didnt help...

Also would reformatted my computer fix this?

. .. ... AV programs are supposed to tell you when your PC is infected

A reformat would help but it's better in the long run to know what the virus/spyware(Network-capable viruses - let's be honest here) was so you are better prepared. ewido offers a limited trial and is able to detect just about everything I've seen thrown at it AVG has a free edition though
