The best way to learn something new is by jumping right in and teaching yourself as you go. I've been playing around the new interface features in BYOND 4.0, and I figured that I'd put that effort to good use and update Proelium.

Even though the game is more than six years old, Proelium has been seeing a bit of a resurgence lately. I consider Proelium to be a finished project, but took this opportunity to update the interface to BYOND 4.0 standards.

The heart of the interface still consists of htmllib pop-up menus -- but the primary HUD is a lot cleaner/more functional. I've tested the interface in both 1024x768 and 1440x900 resolutions.

There appears to be some sort of BYOND 4.0 bug affecting overlays right now, which causes the "impact" graphics to face the wrong direction. Hopefully they'll fix it soon, but right now there isn't much that I can do about it.

Enjoy, and don't forget to log on this Saturday for an Acheron's Awakening public play test!

Could you elaborate on this and post a bug report in the forums? This is the first I've heard of it.

Will do!
Some screenshots would be nice! ive always like this game but i cannot download it at work..
I saw you put in a new skin for Proelium, but the screen not having a specific size really messes up the chat box on the right. I can shrink the play window, but most people don't know you even can, so I hope you can fix it very soon. Otherwise, everything looks really spiffy. :P

Edit: Oh, is it possible if you can put a link to the V.2 without the skin? If there is one, that'd be helpful. Thanks.
