Good evening, BlackAngelsAce. This is a complaint.

I played today on your reliable server, Yawn Station, and my experience was less than pleasing.

I've never played on your station before, and my experience went as follows.

I arrive on the station, and to my amusement, all of the oxygen has been removed from the bridge hallways, so I go to call the shuttle. The shuttle is recalled, and I get a PM from the Co-Owner, "BeyondMyLife". This individual tells me that it's not a serious game, and that I shouldn't call the shuttle. I tell this person that as small as a community that Space Station 13 has, new players aren't likely to come back to the server if they die upon arrival due to something as trivial as oxygen loss. BeyondMyLife says to me "Don't tell me what to do".

By now, I've gotten into an argument with the AI about protecting the crew, and the AI states it's laws. only 1 and 4 are present. Okay, Altered laws. I can understand that. Beyond that, AI is calling me "butt mad" and syphoning oxygen out of the room. I tell AI that I'm going to destroy it, because it is putting my life in danger.

The Co-Owner PMs me again.. Note that this is a LOOSE duplication of what went on in the logs, if you desire a truely, 100% correct account, check the logs of your own accord.

BeyondMyLife: Why are you trying to kill the AI?

Swieft: for the same reason it is trying to kill me

BeyondMyLife: It isn't trying to kill you.

Swieft: Well I just cut the "AI Control Allowed" wire on the APC in the room I am in, and I am no longer experiencing oxygen difficulties.

Swieft: and it shocked the doors around me. The vents are also syphoning oxygen.

BeyondMyLife: If you try to kill the AI, I will erase you.

At this point, the Co-Owner, in the form of a dog-humanoid spawns in and instakills me. I'm a ghost. I receive a 20-minute ban for "Griefing".


Black, I'm trying to appeal to your sense of community, but if your Co-Owner behaves like that, you "probably" don't care either, seeing that you made someone like that a co-owner of your server. Maybe BeyondMyLife isn't a bad person after all, and maybe they were having a bad day, but this is no way to treat new players. During my "AI with Co-owner guardian" conflict, I witnessed at least 2 other new arrivals step into the spaced hallways and get slammed around to their deaths. Players are not likely to return to your server when things like this happen. It's on par with giving everyone guns and giving them free rule of the server. Death is Death.

I don't expect you to do anything about my complaint, but I just wanted to bring this disgusting behavior to your attention. I wish you a successful server, because with success comes population increase, and with population increase comes increased exposure to bad administration akin to what I observed here today.
