Story line

Decades ago, three sisters known as The Charmed Ones were a powerful force for good. Prue Halliwell had the powers of telekinesis and astral projection. Piper Halliwell had the powers to freeze time and blow up evil beings. Phoebe Halliwell, the youngest of the sisters had the powers of Clairvoyance and Levitation. However, within a couple years after getting their powers, a terrible tragedy unfolded. Shax, The Source's Assassin, was sent to kill the sisters. He managed to kill them, but when time was reversed, Phoebe made a deal with Cole that she would stay in the underworld as long as at least one sister could be ressurected. Unfortunately, Prue was not revived. At this time, the Power of Three was broken, leaving The Source able to crumble the force of good. Soon after Prue's death, Piper and Phoebe met a young woman named Paige Matthews. Little did the sisters know, but Paige was their half sister from a union between their mother and their mother's whitelighter, Sam. Paige was able to figure out she had powers, but like Prue and Piper, she was scared when she discovered it. Eventually, Paige agreed to move into the manor, and helped to reconstitute the Power of Three. Once The Power of Three was brought back and put into full force, the sister Phoebe wrote a spell that they used to vanquish The source of all evil (once or twice...or thrice). Years later, eventually all three of them were married with kids. By the time their kids were adults and using their powers to help the innocent, Paige, Piper, and Phoebe agreed that they needed to find some way of having at least three of the children becoming Charmed Ones. Leo, Piper's husband, being a former Whitelighter/Elder/Avatar told them that he wasn't sure if that was even possible. After summoning an Elder, the sisters were told that there was a way, but that it would require all three of them to sacrifice their powers and for them to create a spell that would bring back the power of the Charmed Ones. All three of them talked to their husbands and children, who all agreed that this was for the best. Paige, Piper, and Phoebe were getting up in age and starting to not feel as agile or energetic as they used to be so they knew that this was for the better good. Now the children are deciding on who the three Charmed Ones should be. However, what they don't know is that their parents made the spell to where any three witches could become The Charmed Ones, their own children or not.
