Stictaro, a tyrant among sticks, ruled and dictated Stickia and its inhabitants for centuries. It wasn't until a brave peasant by the name of Sticky (which roughly translates to "savior" in Sticklish) was born that this all changed. Born in a low-class farming community, Sticky possessed unusual powers. These powers allowed him to harness the energy of Stickia and transform it at his will. He grew to become the new ruler of Stickia, banishing Sticktaro and his minions from the land forever. Since then, Stickia has existed in peace--until now.
Sticktaro and two unfamiliar sticks appeared in Sticky's castle one day. Demonic and Saber, Sticktaro's new henchmen, quickly disposed of Sticky. His body was taken to a temple in southern Stickia, which was later revived by the holy stick, Angle. Angle is somewhat of an enigma, banished from the heavens for reasons he does not talk about. With Stickia once again in rule of the tyrant, Angle and Sticky join forces and muster an army of Stick Fighters to siege Sticktaro's fortress.
