This is a Wargames subscriber feature, however, non-Subscribers can still load maps for viewing in this program. They can also design plain random maps to save.

This is designed to run on Wargames 2 Beta E.d or above.

Apparently I just had to relog to get it to work. Thanks, I thought there might have been something in the editor.

Hi, should be a setting when you start up a WG2 game,

It isn't influenced by anything in the editor, but you can have 'blank' squares.
