We at ATP Host would like to give a special shout out to Ryuk25, also known as Bobbyawesome, for scamming us. After paying on time for his server a few months, for July, Bobby was a little late. When his server was suspended, he pleaded for us to turn it back on, and out of kindness we did. Bobby ignored reminders about payment until his server was shut down again, upon which he assured me payment would be sent shortly. Again, I enabled his shell. Today would be the day he should be paying for August, but he hasn't yet paid for July.
I make no claim that ATP Host is not to blame here. We enabled Bobby to take advantage of us, but only because of the purpose of ATP Host- to provide a volunteer service to the BYOND community. We trusted an existing user with good history, and they abused that trust.
Bobby didn't have a regular Tau or Phi server, but requested a much more powerful server at a rate of $27 per month, so he got us for a little bit more than non-payers in the past have done. Needless to say, at this point his service has been terminated and he will no longer be welcome at ATP Host.
I make this post not to ask for money- in fact, I ask that you don't donate to make up for this loss of mine. Not one of you should cover Bobby because he decided to take advantage of a good service on BYOND. I only post to let others know to avoid Bobby in the future.

You're absolutely right- I've just been so very busy that I've let several users slide, the majority of whom do end up paying with no problem. I never finished my billing system, which means I'm handling more than 20 servers manually, and there just aren't enough hours in the day. That said, the last post was really a screwup by our provider, whereas this was a screwup by a user. It's a shame that users like Bobby make up the BYOND community. | |

He contacted me about my IBYOND service about a month ago and didn't follow my instructions and then tried to trick me into believing that he sent the money but mispelled my email address ( I guess he thought I was going to believe him and do the service anyway ). | |
Yeah, that kind of thing is inevitable when dealing with a moron like him.
In any case, im not gonna say you should be a stickler about the billing, because sometimes shit does happen and as you said, most people do pay up.I guess you should just use your own judgement based on experiences, both good, and bad. | |
