Ok so if youve read any of my other post or have been poking around in the forum you might have heard that the Avatar Universe game I am making switched to an Isometric version of it. So after a couple days of coding in the difference for the movement and projectiles, and working out the bugs, Ive got the base system down and reading to start diving back into the heart of the game.
Well theres a little problem with Isometric though. I have no icons for it, and my base wont work :( But thats ok because out of despiration comes creativity. I have made the East (southeast in normal mode) for a new base. My problem is Im not an artist so this took me a long time to do, with a reference i was using. And i dont have a reference for the other stances and animations so dont think i can get it done.
So here it is:
Now just a reminder on what the game will feature(how done it is):
- Isometric world with depth-climbable buildings, mountains, cliffs, etc
- Jobs/Missions/Quest(20%) whatever you want to call them-perform actions for you country
- Unique fighting system(25%)-still working out all the details on this, but the surprise will be great
- New Learning System(40%)-this is what Im most excited about, learning new skills is going to be accomplished in several ways, practicing with a scroll (by performing a simple simon says game), or learning from a master, by completeing their challenge which can be either a battle, a puzzle, or a simple demonstration
- No Levels(75%)- This is gonna be unique system, where the player doesnt have levels, your health and energy change a little with experience (unknown to the player though) but your skills get stronger as you use them. So this will allow for balanced game play at all times.
- Targeting System(90%)- This is a varying idea the part that is determined right now is the targeting system and your bending attack will be done towards the target, with Z levels and height in the game its even more important to actually target who you want to attack. The part that is undecided yet is whether or not I want to affect the movement and have it be a pivot around your target so you are always facing them.
That is just the beginning, as the game progresses and we get more help we will add more content. Like I said above the biggest thing holding us back is icons so if you can help please contact me.

The isometric will make it harder on you to do... There aren't many out there who are good at making icons for that, and even less willing to help.
But I wish you the best, you should come try out my yu yu hakusho game, it's in its alpha stage and I host it once in a while. =D gl |
