Kajika: Duel Monsters Online Announcement
We are hoping to have our first testing session in a few weeks. Testing sessions will consist of trying the basic dueling systems and actively trying to find bugs in the systems themselves.
Keep in mind that testing is not the same as playing for fun. It's often tedious and boring. We would like to have testers that understand the complex chaining systems and obscure rulings so that we can flush out the inconsistencies while DMO is in the early stages.
To apply, post a comment as a response to this post with reasons why you believe that you would make a good tester. Chosen testers will be expected to offer constructive feedback, report problems in detail, and work with other testers to identify potential problems.
We would like for testers to be secretive of the contents of the game so that we can surprise players with the features. We realize that this may be impossible, but testers will likely be rewarded for their hard work so that may be some incentive to keep things secretive. ;)
The players that have been selected will be contacted via pager before testing begins. Please do not ask me if you have personally been selected, it will be too many messages for me to process; I will let you know. Please only post one comment to this post to apply as it will help keep things easier for me to sort out the applicants. Thanks and happy potential testing!!

It's well deserved, he's ripped numerous games, and just changes his keys to adapt to BYOND finding out who he is. Frankly, we're doing a service or else DMO's art will surely be leaked before the game is even released. | |

Applying for: Testing DMO In game info: I used to play this game around autumn 2007 but in 2008-2010 i was less active although still dropping in and out. Why I think I'm suitable for testing: -I enjoy talks about yugioh, so they will hardly ever bore me. -I have a lot of experience in offering constructive feedback, I have reviewed around five movies in detail. As well as giving detailed reviews to upcoming music artists about their songs around 90 reviews (100 words +.) -I can keep a secret ;) Conclusion: Thank you for reading my application. | |
I would love to test the new DMO version. I remember being the host for him a while back in one of the first versions (I doubt Kajika remembers me though.) I have about 6 years of programming in my belt, so I'd be able to more easily pinpoint bugs and provide accurate descriptions. I was pretty good in the original version, but haven't played in a long time so I've probably lost my touch...
I'm interested in how these are being stored.. Are they stored in a database of some kind? XML? Or are they simply programmed into the games under a /card datum? I'm interested because one of the major problems with this R1 is that the card limit, while the newer versions of BYOND increased the limit, it's interesting to see how many maximum cards can be generated at any given time... Hey Lufia I would like to help you test with the new contents of the game. I know the rules for yugioh very well so if there is something wrong with the rulings I can tell you right away. I'll keep the features a secret which I'll take to the death if I have to o.o. I don't want to help you test because i want to have fun and see what some of the new features are, I want to help you test it because i want to contribute something to this awesome game and help make it a better experience for everyone.

Hi! I'm really looking foward to when dmo will comeback and I'm sure if you make me a tester you won't be disappointed and I'll be able to make dmo better then ever by reporting the errors i would find, if i'm selected as a tester that is lol. Also I can keep secrets :).
