Hub there.
Game is still largely unfinished. Expect plenty of bugs and issues.
Reporting anything would help a lot, rather than just playing and not saying anything.
Game should keep you entertained for a good 2-3 hours I'd say. Maybe a bit more or less.
I'll probably be rebooting once or twice to finish adding the quests for the last dungeon (there is only 3 to add).
Once those are added I'll make a start on adding new classes. But don't expect those to be done for at least a few more days.
After that I'll maybe go back and add a few filler quests and what not to make it seem like the game has more stuff to do.
Then I'll start on more content (at the moment, everything is easy mode. Nothing should be too hard yet, you're still in the noob parts of the game, expect ballcrushing hardness once you reach level 15 and change classes).

now how do you expect my to play a team based game with no players?!
|
It's only a test at the moment.
I'm not bothered about getting lots of people to play, just as long as stuff gets tested. If you want to play with people, invite some friends or something. |
To be honest I would like a actual interface having a floating chat is annoying...and since you changed the controls (something I have problems with on it's own but more on that later) you need to add a pop up guide for new players...
but back to the controls, they're awkward they're fine if you're used to playing with them but other wise your struggling to activate your skills while walking and even targeting is a pain somtimes... then there's the fact you can't go diagonal but enemies can, that makes running away from and catching an enemy overly difficult then it needs to be. So when trying to catch a spell-caster in the ice cave you end up chasing it for half a minute while it leads you into another enemy up ahead where your left with the choice of being attacked by the spell-caster or the melee one leaving you in a lose/lose situation. These are my thoughts when I played everything else is great though and it may be kinda generic to the game world but it's unique to byond where you don't see a lot like this, and I especially like the way you get classes although I'm not sure how to get an advanced one or if you even added them yet. |
These are small suggestions on what I think the game needs.
1. If you're gonna stick with WASD controls, then the hotkey bar should be compatible with the numpad for easier access to skills/items. 2. The ability to walk diagonally. 3. A button to quickly target allies in critical situations. 4. The floating chat is just making more of a struggle in gameplay. I think the game and chat should be in the same window like it was before. 5. A mini-map for the hell of it lol I believe these things could help with the game overall. Though, how it is now, it's not bad at all. It's definitely unique. I like the idea of class changes. In the end, I can enjoy the game (except for what I've pointed out and the fact that I can no longer continue any quests due to some bugs). |
