This is for a RPG based on the Avatar: Last Airbender World.
As of now I could change my game to isometric and it wouldnt be that hard, I would only have to adjust a few things like:movement(already have pixel movement and the library i used to make mine has a isometric version so wouldnt be hard to modify), skills (this would take a little more work but doable in a short amount of time, projectiles being the most difficult), icons (well ive only got a few icons right now so the ones that are gonna be made would just be made isometric).
Pros of Isometric: Map can have depth to it which allows for more interesting terrain and more interactive world instead of a normal map down which is very difficult to do things like mountains and stairs.
Cons: Can see movement and projectiles being more complex, icons are harder to make for some, others are fine with it. personally I dont like the way the arrow keys work but can adjust that with the pixel movement if need be.
