The newest skill is Survival. Which is as obvious as it sounds. You level up this skill by surviving out in the world. Killing animals such as Deer, Skinning their fur, Cook the meat, and then sell the fur for money.
I'm out in the great plains fishing for Bass. After a while I finally catch a Bass.
Now that I have a Skinned Bass I need to go and cut some logs.
I found a tree I could cut, got some logs, then built a fire. Now I can cook my Bass.
Now I can either go sell my Cooked Bass or eat it to heal health.
Next up is Locations Discovery. When you go around in the world and visit places you will 'discover' them. They are then added to your Locations log.
Discovering more locations can open up some quests and unlock achievements.
