Shall I add more tiles or stop now?

The tiles are probably sufficient, but is the mob icon complete? I was hoping to use this for the sidescroller library, but the last time I looked it didn't have all the necessary mob icon states.

I can use this for the pixel movement library instead, if you'd like.

I didn't complete the states because I wanted to show you the work first. And, then start working on the icons you liked.
So , need any more icons?

If you make more icons I'll try to use them all. Do you have a .zip available of the latest version of all the icons you've made?

Not really, but I could create one.
I honestly think 90% of these people who with compliments post have yet to try even one of your tutorials/resources and are just jumping on the "FA is awesome" bandwagon. (A bandwagon I'm not on btw :X)

I'm not sure what to make of this.

I don't think it's true. Some of my libraries haven't gotten a lot of downloads, but others have. These people might not completely understand the libraries and be putting them to good use, but they're actually downloading them (or reading them, in the case of tutorials).

Also, people have nothing to gain by sucking up to me. If I made a neat game people might act like that because they want the source code to the game, but the source code to my libraries is obviously available! =)

The bandwagon is a good thing. My libraries are very useful but they're not any good if people don't know about them. Having people who like and appreciate the libraries is very important for raising awareness of them. Until Dream Maker comes packaged with libraries, the best way for people to create awareness is by word of mouth. I try to point people to my libraries when they ask relevant questions on the developer forum, but I can't catch all of those kinds of posts.
I agree on the public warning things. BYOND forums have a huge issue with you falling at the mercy of a specific moderator who may or may not like you.

I got a several week ban for... well, nothing. I didn't get a warning. This isn't the first time it's happened.

I also get warnings (other times) saying "YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER DONT LIKE IT THEN LEAVE BLAHBLAH".

They also have something against debates. If a debate (clash of opinions in a civil manner) is caused by me, but turns into a flame war without my involvement from then on, I'd get punished. Fair = not found.

The moderation system, as it is currently, sucks. Oh no. I'll get phantom modded but not be told what part of my post was offensive.

I'd vote you for Pres. One of the only people here with brains in any field, but you're versatile...

The moderators mean well and some are pretty good, but some of them just can't think of things from the user's perspective. Some things are obvious to them because they've been moderating the BYOND forums for a long time, and they can't imagine how those things wouldn't be obvious to everyone else.
I feel the moderators don't enforce a proper reformation system...

Even when the person does commit wrong rarely are they told about it. I'm constantly treated very condescendingly from the staff, and as of late, for things that aren't just.

A ruleless society does not work, it simply doesn't, because inevitably you will always have some rules enforced.

tl;dr: You did the crime. What crime? Who cares. Don't complain. Don't do it again. Never do it ever again. Don't like this? Get over it!

I hadn't thought about it this way until now, but the staff very much tolerates terrible games that bring terrible users to the site and cause all kinds of problems (because those users generate site traffic which brings in money from ads). But, they don't tolerate forum posts that cross the line at all and are very quick to warn or ban users.

If they applied the same attitude that some moderators have to the whole site, they'd really clean things up.
I disagree. If they applied that form of unrelenting pressure BYOND would die fast.

What "line" are we crossing? Rule #1 of any society is that no visible rules means there are no rules. Common sense is not a rule seeing as cursing, for instance, is incredibly common place and using their logic, is thus allowed due to being common.

The forum needs better moderation, and a VERY clearly defined rules page.

...unless you think my I think 4 bans in ~two years for "starting flame wars" (debates that turned ugly after I stopped posting, or debates that turned ugly but I never once threw a flame etc)" is justified, in which case, I can't agree.

I can honestly say I've downloaded all your libraries and never opened 1. Thats probably just me though

There is certainly some inconsistency between the number of people who acknowledge the libraries, the number of people who download them, and the number of people who use them.

Still, just having people be aware of the libraries is beneficial. Whether people use them or not, being aware of them means you can refer people to them.
Hey, I just want to say thanks for all of your contributions to BYOND. A lot of your libraries, if not all, are just amazing and I love tinkering with them. Without your libraries, my projects would look god-awful. So again, thanks. :)

* saw bandwagon posts after I wrote this. bandwagon immunity activated!

Thanks! I'm glad you like them. If there are any features you'd like to see added to them, let me know. I tried to add as many useful things as I could think of, but different people use the libraries differently so I'm sure there are some ideas I missed.
Here is the rar file of my icons I made for you :)

There's gotta be better ways you could upload those files. When using that link it tries to download a file I don't want along with the file you uploaded.

But, it never happened with me...

I'll try BYOND to upload those files then.

Alright, cool. Sorry if it came off harsh

Thanks! It'll be a day or two before I get a chance to download it.
