Quick trivia question for those NBA fans out there:
Here is a list of the top six in a particular category. This was compiled between the 2003-2009 NBA seasons:
1) Kobe Bryant (41)
2) Vince Carter (35)
3) Joe Johnson (33)
LeBron James (33)
5) Jamal Crawford (32)
6) Chauncey Billups (31)
Kobe Bryant has truly been the greatest at something for that six year period... For a 1-year membership, name that stat!
Edit: As a note, I will comment below when the winning answer is given.

Stat: Minutes Per Game (MPG)

Probably the top 6 clutch shooters.
I know Kobe and LeBron has hit a ton. Jamal hit a couple last season and Billups is called 'Mr. Big Shot' for a reason. |
Reply to your edit:
The numbers are in reference to how many 'clutch shots' the player has made between the 2003-2009 seasons. |
Number of alleged rape victims from 2005-2007.
Nobody touches Kobe, unless you're a drunk white woman. |
It seems like a technicality, but I think the stat is game-winning shots: one made at the end of the game (last ~20 seconds, or during one of your last possessions) to put your team ahead in a game which you win.
The difference is that a clutch shot isn't always a game winner. You could make a clutch shot with 20 seconds left to put your team up, but then someone on the other team scores and you lose. A clutch shot could also be one that puts the game into overtime, but then you lose in OT. The shot was clutch, but not a game winner. Edit: Clutch shooting is often discussed in terms of 4th quarter FG % vs. regular FG %. Any shot made in the 4th quarter could be considered clutch, but Kobe certainly has made more than 41 4th quarter baskets over those years. |
