Implementing this feature is not possible now or in the foreseeable future
For dial-up users, I imagine downloading the resources to a big and popular game can be a tedious task. So I suggest adding in a download-resume type thing for resources, so even people who lose connection at time can rest assured knowing that at some point it will finish downloading.

This would be a good thing for those cases, although it'd be a little difficult to set up. Right now we have no concept of partial file downloads, so that would require significant changes.

These days however dial-up users are a rapidly shrinking minority, which hopefully limits the scope of this issue.

The downloads, and pager in general, should be handled a lot more like Steam IMO. We discussed it on the forums once upon a time.
