I'll get straight to the point, since summer break began we've been taking another crack at refining combat and making it more unique.i feel i have accomplished that!
It may have taken weeks to complete(combined with my periodic time spent slacking off.(hey! i gotta take breaks too.)it was a long period of trail and error i must say.
Lets start with hakuda.Ive gotten lots of requests stating that i should remake the current hakuda and not just sword combat, this inspired me and i was a bit happy that i wasn't the only one who would rather fight hand to hand than with a sword. So lets have a look.
the new unarmed battles stance.i personally think this is a great change from the idle to punch crap.
Now look at this...drab boring, nothing really special the base barely moves and it all just seems so stiff.yeah,i don't know what i was thinking when i made it,and no i wasn't drunk.
now compare that to the beautifully animated New hakuda states! It was hard but not impossible.this alone was a huge step forward, moving bleach revolution further up the ladder in standards of quality games.and has reminded me that nothing is impossible,as i never saw myself doing anything this in depth,so prepare for much better animations!
so lets face facts we've moved up in terms of quality.oh right, there's more!
so... this is the old zanjutsu state, again very stiff the base barely moves and is so limited....again i don't know what i was thinking.
the new zanjutsu states!i must say when i saw these come together i was amazed at how fluid it was because i only used 2 frames per slash!each slash was made specifically to blend well with another so you can imagine how hard that was.
this was my first goal of the summer break and i think i did awfully well.now on onto my next task which I'm currently working on.i may show some stuff a bit later.don't ask me what I'm working on nor when i plan to have closed testing.there is NO set date yet so stop asking please.
discuss!

Looking good dude. Id still do abit of polishing to them, but theyre far better than before.
|
=D i'd figured i'd get polishing done a bit later,(it hurts looking at a base with 75 states.) any who polishing will come and ill also be changing the pallet for the base.
|
Hm, something about the slashing states... It looks like you could possibly keep 'em both, but have them as different fighting styles, eh? But I do like how you updated them! First time I've seen someone actually catch that :o!

The punchs/kicks look goofy.. This, i like how you used photoshop for swords though, reminds me of my bleach work |
The battle stance is too boring. It looks like you went for a boxing stance. If you look at a boxer they don't bounce straight up and down, they bounce side to side as well.
The kicks also look very awkward. It looks more like he's dancing than fighting. |
It is an improvement indeed; however, still not polish enough. Keep it up though
