Posting on behalf of one of my players, key Assisancreed.
He was complaining about really slow speeds in my game, which only started after he started using v469, so I asked him to take a look at his Options and Messages window, which showed this: Setting network delay to 91. Setting network delay to 90. Setting network delay to 89. Setting network delay to 88. Setting network delay to 87. Setting network delay to 86. Setting network delay to 85. Setting network delay to 84. Setting network delay to 83. Round trip ping-pong took 0.26 seconds. Round trip ping-pong took 0.14 seconds. Setting network delay to 82 I had him do the pings to see whether his network delay should really be that high. Is this really intended behavior? |
It's changing at least every 100 seconds.
As this has been marked not a bug, does that mean the frequent fluctuation is a feature?
EDIT: I've noticed that the behavior didn't start in v470, but 468-469.
