A bigger engine is practically speaking generally more of a liability than a benefit (worse fuel consumption, heavier vehicle, etc.)

Do you know nothing about cars? Old cars are heavy and less fuel efficient. Not new ones. (except for those damn hummers I guess)

Not sure how this is relevant to the OP, though,

It's very tangential, but it was red hall dev's response to me saying that playing games equates to increased survival ability (in a roundabout way). And I think it was a flimsy response at that. A good car is better for your survival, and a robot's for that matter, than a shitty car. We could argue all day about what makes a car good but the bottom line is, you want a car that you think is good, and you want it because it will improve your life (supposedly).

Really, I believe that everything in our lives and our brains boils down to survival. It may get pretty abstract when you look at all the high-level functionality that a human has, like the fact that we are sending language (already an accomplishment) encoded in binary through a series of machines and wires...shit's crazy. Still, I think all of our meddling online is in pursuit of learning/intelligence and therefore better survival. Either that or we are trying to keep ourselves from suicide out of boredom from being so damn good at living!
