Since joining BYOND in 2008 I have found only 3 games I thoroughly enjoy playing.. I cannot remember the first one, but the 2nd was DBZ: ShowDown by Kole92, but unfortunately that game went offline and has not come back.
After months of searching for another good DBZ game I had all but completely given up hope.. And then low and behold, I find DBZ: Heroes Reborn by Hate. Being skeptical but curious, I jumped in and found it to be one of the most entertaining, original, largely mapped and maintained by good, honest, and helpful GM's I had came across since ShowDown.
Originality is dead on a lot of DBZ games on BYOND but this game has gone out of the way to stand out. New NPC's. Some even not related to the series. A different way of viewing the map has been added, so that you see the map through the eyes of the character so to speak.. Can't see into buildings you're not in, and when you enter into buildings your view of the outside is limited unless you turn around. Takes a while to get used to but when you do It's a lovely feature.
Very active and friendly GM's. Doobert will go out of your way to help you find your way, witness deaths to transform if you get that kind of Saiyan and much more. Sin will frequently ask if you need help and give it to you if need be and Hate will pop in and out adding to the game.. Whenever he's on, you know something's being fixed/altered/or improved :).
Can't wait for the newest, most updated build.. If It's even slightly better than this one, I think I'll never leave my computer.
9/10 :)
Gareth.
Its true, they have gone out of their way to stand out.
The icons and turfs may be the same as every other ripped dragonball flop, but thats not the point! This game has a Train verb and treadmills to run on! No one has ever gone this far to make training so amazing! Plus, what he says about buildings are 100% true! When standing outside of a building, the area within the walls are completely black and you can't see whats going on inside! But, when you walk inside, you can't see back out! Its mind-blowingly realistic! Its almost like they used "opacity =1" for their wall objects! Isn't that great? The GMs are wonderful as well. I asked for help and got it immediately. I asked for the location of the pbags, and I was soon told by one of the awesome moderators that this game unfortunately didn't provide a pbag training mechanism. I was directed to an area where I could stand on a treadmill and increase my stamina, which then increases the amount of time I can stand around waving my arm up and down to gain levels. I can't believe you gave this a 9/10 when this game is clearly 1000000000/10. |

opacity = 1, you should try it.
