If it works until a certain time, it's likely your connection. I know people who have a parental control timer that kicks in after a certain time, when their parents can't monitor them. It could be something of that nature, you may have to check with your ISP or re-configure your firewall.

re-configure your firewall.? could you please give me a quick description of how to do that please. aswel as im 20 so no its not perental control... xD it works fine during the morings and at night my pager wont even join up with the internet at all

When did the problem start occurring, and did you make any significant changes when it began? Does the problem also go away at a certain time? If so, what time? If not, how do you correct the problem, does a reboot of the pager or the computer let it reconnect? It may be possible that your router (Or Internet service provider) is issuing a new IP address on a daily basis, which may be causing the conflict. One way you could check this is by writing down your local and public IP address and then checking them again after the problem occurs. You can find your public IP address here and your local IP address by going to Start > Run > type cmd > enter > type Ipconfig/all > enter (The field marked as IPv4 address or IP address is your local IP address) Compare the before and after addresses. Are they both the same? If not, which one changed? If your are on a collage or private network, its possible they could be enforcing an " Internet curfew" of some type. (Although if you are on a general network, they shouldn't have anything of the sort). Good luck! | |

look my problem started about 2 updates ago, it used to just do it randomly, ("it" meaning, totally cutting my pager off from the internet) and it would come right after about 3-4 hours, but lately, its happened more frequently, and now its a everyday problem, in the mornings, it works perfectly, as a matter of fact its REALLY fast access, then around, 10 AM it starts giving problems, namely non responsive pager, all it says is "logged in as Xaviar24 (offline)", no game will work... etc etc, now i can ONLY play games at mornings but ive only got 15 minutes....ive not changed anything to cause or prevent the problems, as well as anything to try and correct it... i do not have a "internet curfew" either, its a general house hold ADSL connection.. as for my IP address, i will check and let you know tomorrow morning. Delete the "BYOND" folder located in the "My Documents" Folder.
Delete it and uninstall BYOND. Re Install BYOND and see if the problem still occurs. | |

If you could uninstall the current version of BYOND you have on your PC and download the version you had two updates ago and see if the error still persists. If the error doesn't continue using the later version you can fill out a Bug Report and one of the devs will surely look into it for you. Well then, that helps with the issue. Does restarting your BYOND/computer not fix the issue when your IP changes?
Once again, you might have to contact your ISP for help. I ignored replying for awhile due to Higoten being far better at these than I, as it would seem. Does your internet cut out completely when you cannot use your pager for abit or is it JUST the pager being cut out? | |
Restarting computer/Byond does not help what-so-ever. i cannot seem to find a way around it, ive checked my firewall exceptions, ive checked my port exceptions, i cannot see what im doing wrong.
And to your question, ONLY my pager cuts out, i can access my internet AND download, but my byond is the only thing thats unwilling to do anything, when i open a game it says, " launching game", then it changes to "connecting", wait a seccond... something just came up... it JUST told me NOW,"another connection has been made using my login key, your setion has been terminated..." what does this mean? something in the programing is clashing? or im being hacked? | |

okay..... this is the fact... if i uninstall, it installs again, but when coming to validate my key and pass it gets stuck. it doesn't my byond pager does NOT want to connect to the internet at all, that's whats the problem.. im seriously getting tired of this now... its getting old.

Change your password, the 'another connection with your key' message isn't very unclear, it only gives that message when another connection is made from your key. You can report it at http://www.byond.com/support/ if you think you are the result of a scam/vicious attack on your key. Though the change in your IP will make it near imposible for them to trust who is who.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but if you're using your brothers information to play games I assume he has yours aswell; If it's giving you the 'another connection has been made' message, which would've been nice to know originally, then it might be your brother connecting.

no, he's in hostel (bording school), and im sitting at my pc, with he's right next to mine. (off) I REALLY dont want to leave but i cant play 15 minutes in the morning and leave the rest of my 4 hours and a weekend with a busted byond....-_-"
