No.

Then you're saying the world doesn't revolve around money. You can't be living on planet Earth.

Right I definitely said in my entire 3 letter reply that this world doesn't revolve around money even though you mentioned everything in the world is curable in which I was replying to. If your theory is correct, EmpirezTeam, cure these diseases.

Magicbeast, do you have any idea how much money is spent on chemotherapy for leukemia? ( I just picked a random disease/cancer from the link you provided)

The average cost for a round of chemotherapy to treat leukemia is $150,000. Multiply that by how many people pay for it. Thats big bucks, Magic. Big bucks some people don't want to miss out on.

I don't know whats so hard to understand about it.

Take the "justice" system for example. Judges, lawyers, police officers etc. all have one thing in common: without criminals, they have no job.
I like how you keep trying to get this little conversation off-topic by saying I said something completely different from what I was actually replying to.

Where exactly did I ever say anything about money? I was replying to your selfish comment saying that every disease in the world is curable.

This is not off-topic. I'm explaining my logic, you're ignoring me and you're making no attempt at even arguing what I'm saying.

I never said you said anything about money. I'm using statistics and common sense to show you reasons why some cures are kept from us.

Explain to me why I'm wrong. What don't you get about what I explained below?

Why give me a link to a list of diseases and then get angry once I use that list to try and prove my point?

That's a paranoid way of thinking, but I can't say without a doubt you're wrong cause y'know, there's always a chance everyone who figures out amazing cures are money whores.

By no means will doctors have no jobs if there were cures for everything. In fact, that's a very stupid thing to say considering you'll still have to pay doctors to get cured. So, wtf is up with the whole: "There's a cure for everything!" I think you've been exposed to too many conspiracy theories.

As for the thing you said earlier about cops and judges, that's also not true. Their job is to enforce the law. If no one is doing anything, do you think they're just gonna fire officers? No, because if all officers are gone then what the hell would stop people from breaking the laws? =/
Pretend you're a doctor, Zack.

You've just come up with the cure for cancer. Would you:

A. Be a "money whore" and sell the cure for some ridiculously high price, like $3,000,000 which lowers the chances of anyone buying it from you

or

B. Keep it to yourself, and allow people to undergo "cancer treatments" over and over for $150,000, which is a lower price which increases the probability of people being able to afford it.

Your "money whore" idea makes no sense. By keeping people sick and not giving them the cure, people can get worse and develop even more problems, which means even more trips to the doctor, more medications, more treatment, more surgeries, and more money for insurance companies.

No ones gonna give out a cure for $150,000, Zack. Not when they can keep the cure from you and get you to pay $150,000 for several different "treatments".

This world is designed to oppress you, and I'm not a crazy-conspiracy-theory-believing-wacko-guy for being able to see that.

As for the officers, I don't see why you think people would get paid for doing absolutely nothing all day. Would you pay me to sit on my butt all day, Zack? If so, you're the most awesome employer I've met on BYOND.

My point is there aren't cures to everything to the world and you are a moron for believing it.

Why give me a link to a list of diseases and then get angry once I use that list to try and prove my point?

You weren't proving a point. You were trying to derive my point by going off topic and further pointing towards your idiotness for conspiracies.

Lolocaust. Empirez Team, do you truly believe that there are cures for every known disease? Maybe there have been a few withheld cures (some things will always be withheld from the people; it's the way of the world, and our current copyright/patent setup kind of encourages it in a way), but srsly, not every cure is withheld. If there was a cancer cure, we'd have it. Why? Because many people looking for the cure have some form of personal interest.
Yeah, there aren't cures for everything in the world BECAUSE YOU SAY SO. Wheres your logic behind this? Where are your reasons? You still haven't addressed my initial question:

"If everyone in the world is completely healthy, how would doctors, surgeons, pharmacists etc. keep their jobs?"

I gave my reasons on why there most likely is a cure for everything in the world but its being kept from us. This is not about conspiracies, this is about waking up and realizing that you don't live in a country where the government are innocent little angels who are deeply concerned for everyone. The government is concerned about money and power, nothing more. You seem to think otherwise which makes you the moron here, not me. You have a lot to learn.

You need sick people so the people that went to school to help sick people can have jobs. Theres nothing conspiratorial about it. You just call it a conspiracy in a desperate attempt to win this argument. Its common sense, learn to have some.

No, you should use logic. There are so many diseases that curing them all just isn't feasible.

Try curing Alzheimers, for example, we'll see how far you get curing a poorly understood disease.

Also, no one can ever completely healthy. Even with cures to every disease, we'll still have aneurysms, etc. for example.

That's the problem though. They're not selling it for 150,000 over and over again for each person. They're selling it for some million f---ing dollars to whoever distributes it and they're set for life forever. Do you REALLY think every single doctor out there is honestly gonna just withold drugs? YES, there are people corrupt, but by that logic barely any cures would ever get released, and they worked pretty damn fast for that H1N1 Vaccine.

And yes, if sitting on your butt stopped people from committing crimes, I bet people would pay you.

You say I've been exposed to too many conspiracy theories, implying that what I was saying wasn't true, then you agree with me by saying "Yes, people are corrupt". Do you even know what your argument is anymore? We've both been exposed to too many conspiracies perhaps?

The only reason we have things like officers is because people have done things to show that we need officers. If everyone were to stop committing crimes and prove that they can be good law-abiding citizens, then we don't need any police to keep order. No ones gonna pay you $30 an hour to patrol the streets when absolutely no one ever commits a crime.

Thats like saying I can get a job cutting a yard of grass that never grows tall.

Well, then there's plenty of other shit wrong with people that the cell could possibly help cure.
And Empires, You're a moron. There are incurable diseases. Not because I say so, but because the human Genome says so. If they could cure it, they would.

Look at Polio, Smallpox, Malaria, and all of the other plagues that we've cured. Believe it or not, every person in the medical field is not driven by greed. You're a fool if you think that, although you've already displayed such an attitude in this thread.

As to the law enforcement statement, it's completely irrational. The police don't want there to be criminals. They're there because there will always be people who commit crimes. Always.

Disturbed, if you went to school for 11 years to be a doctor, and suddenly everyone in the world became healthy and never needed any type of medical help ever again, do you think you'd be very happy?

Some people are not driven by greed, but even if they are not, doctors still don't want everyone in the world to be healthy. Why? Because thats 11 years of schooling wasted. No ones going to go to school to become a surgeon if no one ever needs surgery. This is common sense, I can't make it any more simple than this.

People want jobs especially in a screwed up economy like the one we have now. I don't believe for a second doctors go to bed every night praying that no one ever gets sick.

Yeah, they pretty much can want there to be no diseases, and have everything cured. Why? If you looked at the argument from the standpoint of someone who isn't a moron, you'd see that even if every doctor ever were to try to cure everything, they could never accomplish it. Why? Three reasons:
1) Not everything is curable. Sadly, some things just simply have no cure, it's a genetic defect or something of that nature. 2) Even if everything were cured today, a new disease would pop up, forcing the medical field to continue work. 3) Some things are known how to be cured, or don't need cured, only treated. Believe it or not, people go to doctors for more than cancer, AIDS, and pig fever. Sometimes we get simple Influenza. Sometimes we break a bone. The medical field is there for that to.

So you were saying?

That wouldn't happen. There are still plenty of school killings are car crashes to keep doctors busy.

You should seriously get your head out of your fatass and read what your saying. You think the world is fueled by complete corruption and greed when it isn't. It's people like you who make this world the shit place it is.
Basically you're saying doctors would like there to be less patients.

Less patients = less demand for doctors. Do you have any idea how many people are going to school to get a job in the medical field? You think they want there to be a decline in sick people in the world so the chances of them getting a job decreases?

And you say I'm the moron here?
