Yeah, I haven't posted for a few days because I have, in all honesty, nothing to say.
It's been a quiet time. The weekend, and then monday and tuesday study leave.
Suffice to say I've not revised one jot, I've been playing Gunz. Sorry.
Anyway, the legendary summer (2 months of doing NOTHING) awaits just a little over a week and a bit.
I've breached the worst part of my exams, last week.
Now I enter the torrential downpour of evilness that is my 5 remaining science exams. I can make it, I can brave the last obstacle. And when I've done that?
Fusion time. digi suggested that me and Thorg try a play-by-mail game, which would probably be BYOND's first.
Flash can load moveclips from elsewhere, so I've been musing over whether to have the email link you to a master .swf file that decides (after reading your data/progress in the game) what movieclips to load...or, BYOND figuring it out and sending you an email with a link to the right .swf.
Anyway, it's just something to keep my mind from rotting, I guess.
Chill homies. See you in a few weeks.
/me out.

Not the first, I'm sure DDT made 'Extreme Hangman' with DGCI (Or whatever).
|
Hangman isn't play by mail, though we have had an email-based game in progress for years. I've written (and over-written) the engine a couple of times.
I'm hoping, after Last Robot Standing, to get back to that one. It's a Civilization-style turn-based game that Guy did an outstanding job on graphics for, not to mention this amazing mapping algorithm he created. |
Postal games are fun :) My dad's co-worker Dameon Jones made a Postal Chess Game. It's sweet. :)
