Well, seeing as it is very hard to find a decent (FREE) artist, I thought that maybe I should try my hand at it, so that I can make some art for my project's here and there.

My dilemma is, I don't know where to begin, what are the basics of Pixel Art?

Anyone mind posting some links to tutorial's which are beneficial?

Thanks.

Anybody can design graphics, just a matter of the person's patience, knowledge of natural physics, and their creativity.

What most people struggle the most with is proper shading, however.
Yep, my main issue would be that, and actually creating myself a Palette to work with.

I personally won't like using someone else's palette in my work, just doesn't feel original. So I need to get a bit more creative. :)

The final colors in a piece are very important, but I don't put much weight in developing some sort of custom palette. I just use the 216 color palette that's standard in a lot of applications ("Web Safe Colors") while developing an image.

No put alpha in AA. Ungh.
