I'm sure Hulio's art is fine, but this analogy sort of spins him as among the best pixel artists on the planet. Maybe he'll get there someday, but he wouldn't be doing paltry commissions for kid's homebrew anime games copyright violations if he was that good right now, he'd be working for some well-known game company.

I can agree and even dougie knows. But usually, sports are divided into different levels of competition. For example, Division 1 2 and 3. Byond would be division 3. (The weakest competition). The best pixel artists on byond are no better then the best programmers on byond when it comes to comparing them to the planet or any division 1 developers.

Now if Byond was more advertised. The best developers we have here would no longer be the best developers( or atleast they'd be forced to work harder to compete with the rest of the world ). Until these division 1 developers start falling from the sky and creating byond accounts, people need to open there eyes and stop spreading nonsense.

You get better at basketball or any other sports by playing against people better then you. So it only makes sense division 3 developers would only benefit from being in the presence division 1 developers. You can certainly see it brought Tayoko and MdNight to a next level. The odd ball in this whole equation is guy who knows nothing about the character in discussion. It's not his fault, he just wants recognition and a need to be "in the loop". You yourself are the very definition of a "dick rida".

Ice/rugg, I don't know what crappy game( goa? bln?) you've found all these characters from but they're just as hilarious as the stigma thats come from some small fiasco.
