Excellent. I've been thinking a lot about one of my GIADs lately and how I would go about bringing it up to date with the newest BYOND features.

Will probably be doing that.

You mean the one you entered last year with that space shooter based on the flying theme?

What? I never entered a space shooter as a GIAD.

My GIADs:
- Booty (Turn Based Strategy)
- Heat Wars (RTS that I wanted to make emphasize varying landscapes and macromanagement)
- Through the Looking Glass (Isometric noir detective game inspired by Blade Runner)
- Empyrean War (RTS that I wanted to make heavy on formation and tactics)

I mean Empyrean War. Sorry.
I might actually be able to do something this year. It won't necessarily be something I've started already, or even a game - in short, I probably won't be playing in the rules.

But what the hell, the point is more to give us a kick up the pants than anything else.

When will this be announced?

This Thursday. I've got something planned but I'm still trying to get pieces of it together.

I've had a lot of people contact me who are concerned because they think that they can't start a new project for the event. That is not the case. It will be okay to start a new project.
Sounds reasonable.
