First every like 30-90 minutes my computer freezes up, I have to hit the switch on my surge protector to turn it off. Then when i flip the surge protector switch back on, It doesn't turn the computer on right away, It usually takes 1-2 hours for the computer to come on by using the switch on the surge protector. Any Ideas what's wrong with my computer?

uhh bad motherboard? I don't know.

Wait, you're turning your computer off... by unplugging it????
That's a bad idea >_> If you have to turn off your computer and it won't respond, hold down the power button for about 6 seconds untill it turns off. You might have spyware or a virus, or worse, WINDOWS! AHH! Just kidding, I have windows >_> Have you run any spyware or virus scans? If you have windows, when was the last time you updated it? |
well from his description I think he means that it'll take ages for the windows to boot... like it just stays at the loading screen before the login occurs.

I ran a virus and spyware scan. It freezes so the only way to turn it off and on is the switch on the surge protector that is connnected to my computer. And when i hit the switch back on it just doesn't turn the computer on so i have to flip it back off and wait about 2 hours.

oooh I understand. It might be a power supply issue. Measure your current one's dimensions and maybe buy a better one. Today's standard for a power supply is about 400 watts, which is enough to power the fairly powerful GPU's and CPU's... but definately not SLI or Crossfire.
