Forgive my extreme lack of activity on BYOND lately. Today I just finished my eight straight working day. If tomorrow wasn't a public holiday, I'd be working then as well.

To the point of why I'm so jolly after three 6am starts in a row: I'm getting paid $1000.00 (before tax) for the work I've done this week. This whole not being unemployed thing is probably one of the better life changing decisions I've ever made. I also cancelled my Newstart Allowance, so I don't have to worry about declaring amounts earned, or filling in tedious paperwork or attending pointless interviews with my Employment Access agency who, from what I can tell, did absolutely nothing for me while I was dealing with them.

Also, I've come to a conclusion when using Amazon.com. Never use expedient international courier. The programming books I ordered off Amazon should have arrived a few days ago now. Instead, it's taking as long (longer if they don't get here today) as standard expedient international shipping, which is $30.00 less than I paid for the courier. So not cool. They're impeding my learning process by denying me the resources I paid good money for. =(
Woot! Real money is good when you're earning it. Try not to forget the frugality you learned from unemployment too quickly. ;)

Depends whether or not my books turn up before my next payday. I may just end up buying them again. This wait is getting ridiculous. The earliest they can be delivered now is Tuesday, unless the courier works on public holidays.
I also just updated my donations.txt. Spending money online is fine. <.<
I need a better job. I make about a dollar more than minimum wage and I usually don't even hit $1000/month. :(

Being poor sucks.

Well, I just got Pokemon Heart Gold and a car, for saving up for 2 months.

Wewt.

I guess this puts me in the red for the tip jar.
Whenever I order stuff online I always go with the cheapest shipping and it is almost always here the next day, sometimes the day after. Extra shipping is just a scam.
Don't worry Tibbius, we'll get them off the bad guys for you <3

:]

If you don't live internationally, sure.
