We managed to get them(me and a party of another soldier and another cleric) last night when they were trying to make it to the inn. Killed them, got their gold.

Guess what they did? BAWWWWW. Not only that, but they weren't muted. Bias from the administration isn't fair.

I've yet to be killed from this, but I've seen many people complain openly on the world channel, only to be taunted, and then muted. Not exactly great community standards.

I've never seen this happen - not the muting part at least. We use our Admin commands sparingly. If someone is vulgar over WorldSay, we usually mute then for about 30 seconds just to remind them to keep it in check. This might happen 2-5 times a day during peak hours.

Everyone knows that swearing constantly or being perverted over WorldSay results in a temporary mute. I myself barely even read the WorldSay channel - I just mute someone if I see something like this pop up.

So yeah. The Admins don't care about who is teasing who and don't pick sides. First person who breaks the rules of WSay gets muted.

While I highly doubt any real "biased" actions occurred from the Admins, Kudos to you for winning a fight against them.

Fair play to the Queen.

The mute was a single incident, and the kid deserved to be muted for the excessive swearing, but I stated shortly after the incident that both parties should have been muted. It's bad enough that the kid was having a fit about being killed, but the other side really shouldn't have been taunting him for 5-10 minutes afterwards. Harassment should really be added to the mute criteria.
Keep in mind that we can't keep track of everything. Just look at how fast the WorldSay channel moves - I can barely read it for 30 seconds without getting a headache, much less 10 minutes. If someone feels like they're being harassed then their best recourse is to let me know on the forum.

I don't want harassment to take place, but I'm also not going to babysit the WSay channel at all times. If I see it I'll do something about it - but I'm not always going to see it.

I agree that it SHOULD be, but there are issues there. Something like profanity is a very easy to distinguish right/wrong scenario. The Admins can say, "No swearing." and it is fairly easy to monitor for that particular issue as it has a very limited and obvious criteria as to what constitutes "swearing".

What you call "Harassment" is not nearly so cut and dry. Such judgments are largely in the eye of the beholder. You can not really expect the Admins to spend every moment following the flow of WSay between 50 individuals closely enough to make such judgment calls each time someone feels harassed. In this large of a crowd, with as much general immaturity as can be shown from the plebeian masses, that will be quite a bit. As such, having an expectation for the Admins to be able to be continually aware and make such calls is nigh unto ludicrous considering that they are usually trying to play or keep up with with their own conversations. Or, in Silk's case, working on code for the Test Server.
