The overwhelming majority of the community makes up excuses to not contribute. The most vocal excuse being that the community is drowning in Anime game rips, a legitimate complaint several years ago but a complete cop-out in the current environment. I understand what Magicbeast is trying to say, people need to stop complaining about the community and stop finding reasons not to make games and start contributing.
I would say I am pretty vocal about anime and rips in general, when given the chance.
Does not stop me from making games.
Have released 4 (to BYOND and another 2 outside of BYOND) and have another 2 on the way.
I just like complaining!
So if it's possible for you to care less, that means that you do care (although we're both aware that's not the message you were trying to get across).

You're wrong. He's free to use BYOND how he sees fit (and he can reap the benefits/consequences for the methods he uses). If he doesn't care about his reputation in the community, so be it. Your reputation shouldn't be what drives you to make games. Your own enjoyment is what does it.
Not a lot of my work gets released because I write it simply to see if I can write it. Once I've found out I can write it, I either throw it in my libraries folder or delete it when I clear out my desktop.
