So, I've had a flu for the past week and a half or so, and have only really gotten over it today.
As such, I haven't made a lot of progress with LONER.
I have added some missions to it. About 10 at the moment, I intend on adding anywhere from 30-60 more for the current map. Depending on how creative I can get.
One thing I like doing in games I make is including satire and references to other stuff. Most people miss this totally, but I always add them. So a few of the currently added missions are like this (Ethan loses his son Jason, he wants you to find him, and tells you to run, the run button is X is an example of how I go about it)
Other than missions I have started adding more enemies, and unique variations of them.
An example is the Weaver. It is a giant spider. It can lay webs to trap you, shoot webbing at you, and if it bites you, you get poisoned. It generally will try to trap you, and bite you a few times and then let the poison finish you off.
The unique variation is the Orb Weaver, which is more aggressive, shoots out much more and stronger webbing, but has a weaker poison.
I have also started adding unique weapons to the game. They're all variations of current weapons in the game, but usually work differently, and/or have more extreme stats.
An example is the M-16 Assault rifle. Unique variations include an M4, which is smaller, lighter and designed for close combat, but has lower power. Another variation is the M4-Carbine, which is the opposite, longer barrel for better damage and accuracy, but with more recoil and it is heavier.
A lot of these unique items will be rare or mission rewards.
I have no idea when this game will be finished.
I've not even finished the first area out of 4 planned, and the areas after the first will only increase in complexity.
Not only that, but I still have absolutely no idea on what the storyline will be like, if I even include one.
No idea when I will host the game again. Want to get more content added for the next time I host it.
