have you played the game? what's your opinion of it?
Yeah I've been playing it for almost 3 weeks now. Although it isn't an open-world game (it leans more towards Team Fortress 2 and Unreal Tournament) I find it fun to play in my spare time (since the monthly subscription is optional) although some people might not share my opinion (every game community has whiners who're never satisfied)
what are its biggest problems right now? are there any really annoying technical issues or massive PvP imbalances? is there an "arena" setting for PvP (small scale rated combat) like in WoW?
The biggest problems at the moment are concerning certain graphic cards. Users with certain ones cause their game to crash occasionally but this can be fixed by simply updating your drivers.
The game was unbalanced in the closed beta but all the classes have now been balanced out. Having played them all I know there's nothing that makes any class "overpowered" or imbalanced. "arena" setting for PvP (small scale rated combat) like in WoW? Having never played WoW I don't know what you're talking about here. Although there is a virtual reality arena where dying doesnt have any effects on your skill rating.. not sure if that's what you meant. The lobby system is basically a city which you can roam around and has 2 sectors; a market sector and a technology sector. From this city you can open the global map and choose to participate in PvP or PvE missions. |
by arena i mean PvP where you can make teams of 1-5 people and fight other organized teams in a sterile environment (as in no outside factors unbalancing the fight), and whenever you win/lose your rating goes up/down to reflect it

That is the equivalent to another feature called Conquest, which is what the optional subscription gets you. Once you've joined an agency (equivalent to a WoW guild). You can form a strike team of 10 people and fight for territory against other agencies all over different zones which lock and unlock at different times (this is good for people with different timezones). Each zone has over 100 small hexes which can be controlled by an agency. On some of these small hexes you can build facilities to produce materials used to build upgrades.
