Capture the Flag.

Musical Chairs: Every [thirty] seconds the teams are randomized, with the countdown visible to every player. Players do not respawn after they die, and the last player standing wins.
An alternative would be to have players respawn, and the player with the most kills wins. This just popped into my head, and I'm sure there are some kinks that would need to be worked out, but it could be a unique mode. The strategy would be to regroup with your new team ASAP, and try to work together to take out as many opposing players as possible before they randomize again. And then when the timer gets low again, either prepare for a Mexican Standoff or split up. Of course, all methods of Team Killing would have to be fully disabled. It might be a good idea to toy with giving [5] seconds of invincibility or so after each switch. But then again, it might just devolve into a FFA where players all go off on their own. I'm also a big fan of Co-op modes like infection and wave. |
Demolition is like Battlefield Bad Company 2's Rush mode? I'd say my top 3 favorites on this list are Infection, VIP, and Demolition.

I haven't played Bad Company. Demolition is like Assault in Halo.
Essentially it's reverse 1-flag CTF. |
Freeze tag would be nice and a little different than what's out there in current shooters. I'd like it without the kills though, just points for freezing people and the first person to reach [x] points is declared the winner.

When I read the description for freeze tag I immediately thought of the Battleroom for Ender's Game.
