Hello there BYOND’er!

Vermolius and I have been toying around with some fun projects and,
with this one in particular, we need the participation of the
community. We want to create a Paper doll Avatar system that lets you,
our player, create characters they would enjoy playing AND feel
connected to.

To do this we want our range of customization to encompass all types
of faces. We really want you to be able to make an iconic version of
yourself, similar to what I have done with my Ninja Mikey Avatar.
This, however, requires we gather a good visual catalogue of all kinds
of facial features covering an entire range of diversity.



I’m offering you the chance of being made into an Avatar, costing you only a picture of your portrait, and some background information.

Your submission will be referenced for creating our “parts”, then modulated and thrown into our banks. Everyone who is used will
receive a copy of their avatar via e-mail (if they supplied one) so they may begin using it as soon as I get done making it--they're BYOND
compatible, 64x64 pixel avatars afterall.

Submission guidelines:

To make my job easier, I ask that you please follow the guidelines or be at risk of being overlooked.

• Front facing, large and clear image of your head, neck and shoulders. Good source of lighting and preferably from above.
  
• Image dimensions no larger than 400 x 300 pixels.
  
• Be sure to include your age, and ethnic background.
  Feel free to add anything else you feel is relevant.
  
• Include your email address if responding via comment.
  
• Submit surveys here, in a comment to this topic. If you want to keep your image private, please e-mail it to
  [email protected]. Make sure the email subject includes the words "BYOND Avatar Picture".
  
• Images from the BYOND People repository do not meet our requirements.
