I gave that bitch some dithering. Bitches love dithering.

I'll upload a vid of it opening and closing later. It's less complicated than what I wanted it to do, but it works.
This thread is going to be locked until the contest results are public.
This'll hopefully be in the next few days, so sit tight and we'll see! (:
Thank you everyone for participating, check the first post in this thread for the results!
nice job da gratz
I was hoping for a bit more info, but a detailed score for every entry is nice enough. Seems I should of chosen a better concept that I could pull off better, and quicker. Oh well. I'm surprised I didn't see Gravity on here, I must of missed something that excluded it from being a counted entry. Congrats to the winners.

Gravity got 5th place.
Tonight isn't my night:

First I find out I did much less than I expected in the competition.

Then no more than 5 minutes later my GF breaks up with me.

I'm not feeling very good about life right now.

Blame the circumstances, not life. Your life got you where you are, and I sure as hell thought Gravity was going to be in the top 4. Chin up. I don't know why you got dumped and I don't really care. Just remember that if you want something and don't get it, then you didn't want it bad enough. Don't let anything stop you from getting what you want from now on because the last thing you want to say to yourself is "I wish I would've tried harder".

I think I've said enough here.

Don't you ever fucking say that to me.

Hey hey now, I'm trying to help here. I'm not exactly happy with my results either. If you aren't going to accept help, then it probably would be best for you to cool down before you post something you're going to regret.

Perhaps you should of paid more attention to her than the computer?

Congrats to all the winners!

That's pretty low. Pat yourself on the back asshole.

Dick move.

Ah, somehow overlooked that. Must have been because it was the first entry without commentary so it was easier to scroll past. Thanks for pointing that out.

Also, toward Bravo1; sorry to hear that about your girlfriend. Break ups suck, and though I don't know the details I do hope you have better luck soon.

Ah, by the way, I thought Gravity would place top 4 too; so I hope it continues on. I've been looking/watching for posts about it.
Girls need attention you don't stay in a relationship sitting at the PC all day ignoring them.

Anyway I am done here I congratulate you all for having a try.
Ohmy, I didn't expect the results to be posted here, well, I'll just announce the winner of my prize. This prize is for the game that I want to see completed the most, a game that I feel could do well as a flash game, or even in the indie market, as long as it's well made throughout it. That game is Sword by GreatFisher, I made some notes on it in the reviews linked below, but I hope it gets continued and I can see a finished product one day. I'll be getting in contact with GreatFisher to give him his prize.

[Edit:]
Prize has been sent!
Congratz to the winners! And to all contestants, whether you won or didn't even get to submit a finished entry, consider continuing to work on your games!
Wow can't believe I actually won something, Congrats to all the other people that won prizes.
Hm. Judging by what Megablaze had to say about Captive, it seems a few things weren't clear due to my lacking the time to make additional enemies and such.

So 4 quick notes. 1: It seemed like teleporters just made you go back and forth between maps at random, but in reality all zombies were gaining higher stats each time. 2: Zombies were actually intended to be the slowest enemy, which is why it was too easy; I wanted to make some faster ones and some ranged ones. 3: The lack of ranged ones, status effects, etc is a big part of why the bow made people too strong. 4: I hadn't used hub scores before and did them last and in a hurry, so I accidentally made them wrong and they were the main goal of the game. Get to the highest floor you can, highest level, etc etc.

Captive was probably just a bad concept for a GIAW contest, that was my mistake, but not real sure if it would be great with more work put in or not; just a crazy idea I wanted to try. Seems it may of been too crazy to work.

Edit: As a little closing note regarding off topic stuff/Captive... I made a little topic for discussing Captives art and such. http://www.byond.com/forum/?post=939644 I'd appreciate any feedback anyone could offer there. The score in this contest made me curious for more specifics.
Congratulations to all the winners and participants!
