Does the color scheme seem, alright? Do you have any suggestions on what I could do better? Nay/Yea it, and post responses on the comment pages.
why is there a giant label that just says "name" and then a giant label below it that displays your name? i don't think a giant label that says "name" is necessary for someone to realize "oh, hey, that's my name"

the same goes for the "status" and "online" labels. that's a lot of pointless dead space

what's the black box at the bottom?
You have a point with the Status/Online part. The black box, will be used for a Banner later on.

I think that's a grid displaying it all, actually...

I think the color scheme is ok, although there should be something to display on the map before anyone can properly judge it.
I knew someone was going to say something about the map. I haven't worked on maping just yet. This is just the interface part of it.
Ewww...
I can even make it look better than that :o.
This is one of the major problems I see with BYOND interfaces.

People fail to realize interfaces can have more than one window, so they try to cram all information needed into one window (and use tabs).
It always looks bad.

If you cannot make a decent ingame GUI yourself, you can use interfaces to imitate a good GUI.

Picture is an example of something I made with BYOND just as a test. It uses nothing but interfaces. (The graphics for items and so on are all place holders)

...you know what GUI stands for, right? are you referring to screen objects?

Semantics. You know what I mean when I say GUI. I mean a method of interacting with the game, and having the game display information.
You could call it a HUD, GUI, menu system or interface.
