When swinging the blade you should put more effort like in it's movement and expresion.

Make his intire body move with the swing. Instead of just legs barely sliding up and back. switching blade hand to hand. Make his leg pull up back. and have him leen forward. and then swing down with the blade and when he stands back up switch blade then same way with the left and right o.o Sorry if you donty understand that i suck at explaining things.

Also make a exprrsion on his face when he's swinging. So it looks like he's puting effort in to attacking with his blade. It makes things look more thought threw and realistic.

ah okay,ill have at it,i would have put more 'uhmph' into each of his swings,but i made a limit of how many base states i want and i have already exceeded that,so i made each slash state a generic sequence,so itll look fine,with other weapons IE. spears and pole-arms etc and not just a zanpakutou,i like the facial expressions though so ill add that to the base once i get done with whats important

If you need more criticism for your Pixel art to give it a good boost to better your game. I would be glad to be the one to give it to you. I am a very good at it ^^

Haven't heard of this project. It looks nice. The art is easy on the eyes, which is a plus. Great job.

All the art looks great, only peeve I have is that you can visibly see the grass tile. Looking forward to seeing your game released.

err yes, that's how i planned it to be,seeing that i have a lot of techniques of breaking the grid.the map you see here is just a template for making .GIFs and is not featured ingame.
