I picked Chrysler only because I love the Jeep brand.
Dodge Charger. A Hemi 6.1L Muscle car engine!
I picked Chrysler also i own a jeep TJ, and i am also in school to be a mechanic and so far Chrysler seems to be the easiest brand to work on. But on simplicity and interchangeability i have to give it to Chevy(tho i really hate then). And you cant count Ford out on reliability, i put 300000+ miles on my F150 with a 302.
Ford, it's a sexy beast.

(Oh yeah, you completely skipped out on Holden, not that I care, Holden sucks.)
Porsche.
Eclipse, although it isn't up there. >;>
Audi, only because I drive one.
I have a Subaru. Its awesomeness. My dad has a Subaru. My brother has a Subaru. My neighbor has a Subaru. My ex-girlfriend has a Subaru. Everyone in my friend's family has a Subaru.

Here's a list of Subaru car models:
Subaru Impreza WRX STI
Subaru Impreza WRX
Subaru Impreza
Subaru SVX
Subaru Legacy
Subaru Outback
Subaru Tribeca
Subaru Forester

There are also some variations, such as turbocharged versions and legacy/outback hybrids.

Subarus are extremely safe (Legacy is one of the top 5 safest cars in America), they have awesome handling even on ice and snow, are fabulous off-road vehicles, and have lots of go-power when you want it. They also last forever if you take care of them.
What about Kia? Never had one nor know anyone with one but I'm a nissan fan/driver, Maxima thank you...
Yeah, this is a pretty limited list. You've got Saleen but not Honda? Apparently this isn't a vote on practicality. You might as well ask people what their favorite car is and ditch the poll.

BTW, you forgot Honda, Acura, Lexus, Scion, Infiniti, Mitsubishi, Kia, Geo, Lincoln, Cadillac, Mercury, Buick, BMW, Eagle, GMC, Hyundai, Isuzu, Jaguar, Lotus, Mercedes, Mazda, Aston Martin, Oldsmobile, Bugatti, Pontiac, Saab, Saturn, Suzuki, Volkswagon, and Volvo, to name a few.

Although many of those manufacturers are the same manufacturer under different names, just as Dodge/Chrysler are the same company, and at this point Audi/Lamborghini and Toyota/Lexus/Scion are the same company.

Here's a nice list of economy car manufacturers: http://cars.about.com/od/automakers/
Good old Volkswagen.

But some, if not most of them can be put under one company. IE: like Pontiac, Saab, Saturn, GMC, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick and Oldsmobile ..... All GM vehicles

and as for Ford, i think they have Lincoln and Volvo.... any others i dunno im a Chevy guy. 454 SS!!!
I've gotta go with Chevy mainly because I've driven a lot of cars and Chevy has been the most reliable.
I own a 1990 Chevy 1500.

I'd love to drive more Dodges or some of those higher priced vehicles on your list.
;)
lol i made the post then realized that i left the largest companys out xD. That and forgot about most of the popular models Sorry.
