So anyway, it's the dawn of a new year, and today I decided to be proactive about my situation and see if I could emerge victorious. I did.

First I went to Centrelink, my health care card (card that gives me free ambulance cover, concession prices public transport and cheaper movie tickets) had expired, so I went to get another one. During this, I inquired about "New Start". Which is a government incentive to gaining employment. Essentially they pay me to look for work until I find it. According to a chart I found on their website, I'm eligible for a maximum of $456.00 a fortnight. That's pretty kick ass, so they're going to organise that with me on Thursday.

Once I got home and did my song and dance about a potential large amount of money, on a fortnightly basis, I heard from a friend that the recently hired nightshift workers at Woolworths were being canned because they weren't turning up to their shifts. Booyah. So now I've dropped in an employment form for there as well. Which gives me a potential $450.00 a week.

Either way I go, I get money which I so desperately need. Everything is coming up Tibby!
