Okay to start with this all came to me last night while reading the paper. I usually read the headlines and the blah blah stories about the obamacare debates, and after that i always do the little maze and try to do the crossword.

While i was doing yesterdays maze, which was a rather hard one might i add, the idea for a game came to me. It started out as being just a maybe a maze with some pitfalls and such; but the idea kept growing on me. My final idea came down to being What i Call "I smell Cheese".

"I smell Cheese" would be a limited creation game. The player is given so many Blocks they have to place but they must retain a way for our mouse friend to reach the cheese at the end of the path.

I haven't really gave any thought on what a game like this would call for programing wise and what it would take to actually make the game complicated enough to where it is fun. However i think i am going to try and create this game the idea seems fun in my head and i haven't ran into any flaws in the planning i have done.

So if you would just drop me a line on any ideas or concerns you have have.

Random idea for yaz. As dungeon master or maze master, you must delay and/or damage the party (rat) without killing them as they make their way through the dungeon. The more time and damage you do, the more points you earn. Via pathfinding, the rat always takes the shortest route. The player has triggers in place which toggle doors and traps but the triggers only work once. As the player progresses and if you have levels, the can earn cash to buy new delays.

There are number of variations for this. Try to kill and prevent the rat from reaching the end by doing it damage or having it fall in a hard to hit trap. This suggestion is essentially a variation of a tower defense game though.

Anyway, hope that helps.

I like the idea.
I should like, drive around somewhere and go out for lunch with a few friends since inspiration for things like this seems to always come from the oddest places.
