well, as some of you know{which is a few of you} i am making an mmorpg almost 1 and a half years now in the process of waiting and no help trying to get it on a byond version[which is 2d not 3d], im tired of wating for help that certianly wont come on here so....
scratched the byond version and am going straight into 3d by myself. i know i know im crazy for doing this littealy stand alone, but you cant blame me for trying when no one would help enough to get this actually on byond. i thank icewarriorx for being instrumental in this and deathawaitesyou for keeping faith in this whole thing and doom989 for mentoring me through this. basicly ive come to the point where, i have taken steps to secure that this gets done. i am going to learn coding to make a 3d game engine from scratch with the mentoring of doom989. im in college to learn about graphics making and 3d modeling so i will get the 3d models done myself. i know this way its practicly suicide on the mind but im willing to go that far for this game, i am going to do this one way or another even if it takes ten years on my own. i better not see a byond version of this on here without my doing... i am getting this copywrited so thats how serious i am about this.

What, Death!? There are freakin' plenty of online 3D games.
A 3D game doesn't use up more of a net connection than a 2D game. All a client would need to send/receive from a server would be (the minimum, at least), the x, y and z (height) location of a player. The 3D would be calculated by the client. Remember he said it wasn't for BYOND. I've played a 3D online FPS for BYOND anyway, and it played pretty well. | |

breaking this thing off of byond entirely... and making a seperate game all together, so that means diffrent software, a new 3d game engine, servers, 3d game models and what not. this is a whole entity seperate from byond. i tryed getting a 2d version up on byond,and that whole thing fell trough, but i never intended a 3d version on byond itself.

An online 3D game just won't work. For one, there'd be way too much lag.
