Well, basically, I am attempting to create a home server, but since this won't be used much to host such big things, I am going to be connected wirlessly, in order for the wireless internet to work, I need to download drivers to my modem.

This modem has a linux driver, but the trouble comes in, when I am put to the spot where I must download and install the drivers, is there a way to have the Drivers on the Ubuntu Server without having to connect it with a wire to the internet to do so?

If so how? If not can I still host a server via Ubuntu Desktop? With the acception that I just get a desktop with it, but the commands can still be run via terminal?

Thank You.

Ubuntu server comes with many server applications preinstalled, like an FTP server. Ubutun desktop comes with desktop applications, like Gnome. Both can do the job of the other, you may just need to install some extra applications to do it.
Ah I see, well I had a talk to Jerico, and he was telling me that if I'd like to install webmin which I surely plan to do, I need Ubuntu Server.

Well, in that case Ubuntu server is probably a good idea, but as for the internet, he mentioned that I can plug in a flash drive and use the following command to access the files:

cd /Media

But he was unsure, so is it possible to clarify if I can get the drivers for the internet to it from there?

Thank You.
You can install Webmin just fine on the desktop edition. The only difference between the server edition and the desktop edition is what software is there by default. You can install the desktop stuff on a server, and vise versa.
Ah, Okay. Last thing I'd like to ask, I have been asking a few people over MSN, AIM, and BYOND Game's themselves about this, and a lot of people said that there is no need for the driver's, all I must do is stick a Modem in.. I was wondering would this work?
Depends on the modem, it's just like Windows. The system has quite a few drivers packaged with it, but some stuff just doesn't come with it.
How can I find out?
