How is this considered safe? I'm giving you my account info for BYOND and this isn't a BYOND official service is it?
Just curious.
ts
What account info? All you're giving us is your key name, the password you choose is only used to access the webmail and IMAP/POP3 -- you can use any password you want.
I'll edit the sign up page to make this clearer. |

You guys should put a link to the registration page on the sign in page.
Sort of misleading to use BYOND layout/scheme. Are you tricking us or trying to make us feel at home? Hard to say. I signed up but when I try to login, I get invalid account info. Not sure what to expect. Nothing told me to look for a email notification or wait for a certain amount of time so I expect it to work. ts |
I tried emailing to a hotmail account, and I got a delivery report from them saying that it detects my BYONDMail as a Dynamic IP.

Are you tricking us or trying to make us feel at home? Hard to say. Not at all trying to mislead anyone, it's a BYOND-related project, nothing wrong with trying to make it fit in. I signed up but when I try to login, I get invalid account info. Not sure what to expect. Nothing told me to look for a email notification or wait for a certain amount of time so I expect it to work. Everything appears to have gone fine when the account was created. Are you sure you entered the right information? The username/email field should be '[email protected]' and the password should be the password you entered. Future webmail won't require you to use another password, it'll just ask you to login to your BYOND key to continue. External POP3/IMAP will still require a secondary password though. |

That's because for the time being the BYONDmail server is on a dynamic IP system. I guess Hotmail doesn't like that, we'll see how long it takes for AZA to get a better connection hooked up to the box. |
Are you sure you entered the right information? No, I didn't enter the right info. I'm logged in now. Consider adding "@byondmail.com" as the default value in the email input. That might help others. Thanks |
I'm getting this error message at login.
ERROR: Could not complete request. Query: FETCH 0 (FLAGS BODYSTRUCTURE) Reason Given: Error in IMAP command received by server. Where do you want us to report issues? |
I'm not seeing anything unusual, Tsfreaks. Is it still doing it, is it happening every time? Does the left frame of the page load?

Perhaps its a first run issue? The link in the welcome email to WebMail: points to "http://www.byond.com/mail/" Is that intentional? Clicking on the link gets a 404. ts |

A hosting server in the future is a possibility, but it's most certainly not now. Do you have any plans, specifications or ideas for such a plan yet? If so, mind to share? |

Do you have any plans, specifications or ideas for such a plan yet? Right now I believe the plans for a hosting setup are really just only plans. I think AZA (and I) are going to focus on the mail stuff, if that happens to bring in some money for a server to support it I believe hosting is an option. The server we're using for mail right now isn't fit for hosting but we didn't have hosting in mind when we got it. |
It's a mailserver, not a hosting server. A hosting server in the future is a possibility, but it's most certainly not now.
