All the games use the same engine, with enhancements.
I doubt it would take much, if any effort to port them maps over from the old to the new game.

I might not own the rights to the maps, the music, the graphics or anything else. But I sure as hell own a copy of them. And I am entitled to do what I want with my copy. (If I went and purchased the game that is)

And now this is going to devolve into arguments about copyright laws and then inevitably piracy.
Before that happens. Fuck your shit. I bought the game/music/movie and I own it. I will do what I want with it.
I would download a car if I could. I will download games, movies and music if I want.
If if was as easy to get away with as piracy, there is no crime I would not commit.

That is a stunningly accurate statement. Most software piraters usually try and spout off some sort of nonsensical excuse for their actions - but I at least applaud you for being honest. You admit that you're wrong, but you just don't care.

In other words, the only reason you don't steal, murder, rape etc. is because you don't want to get caught.
The only Downfall to the Game is the Fucking Campers. COD Has Never Been Fun Ever Since the Amount of Campers are in Modere Warfare 2. Killzone 2 is Still Better on Online Purposes.
Other then that The single Player Campaign is Fucking Epic.

Camping is a legitimate tactic, and like everything else it can be countered. I honestly haven't noticed a marked increased in camping in MW2 -- but if there is one then it's likely only temporary until people learn the maps.

That said, I don't know of any counter to combat the Capitalize The First Letter Of Every Word Syndrome.
The game didn't disappoint as much as it just didn't live up to the hype.

The multiplayer was above average to say the least, the campaign gave me no jaw dropping moments.

The graphics were just old ones that were polished a bit.

I have nothing else to say about it at the moment as I haven't even paid attention to these perks, I've been busy with LBP on PSP.
I wasn't impressed with it. They butchered the PC version, the singleplayer story was terrible (I think I'm the only person left who plays an FPS for singleplayer?). Come on, what happened to missions like All Ghillied Up and Death From Above? At one point I was like, awesome, I get to drive the fucking tank! And then all I really got to do was point my laser. The Spec Ops was cool, but not great, in my opinion. Overall, it was good, but I'll stick with CoD4.

BTW, MW2 runs on the same engine as MW1, so porting over maps should have been no problem at all. I'm honestly surprised they didn't include them- many popular sequels do. Hell, even Perfect Dark has Goldeneye maps.

If you are talking about purely the single player experience, then I prefer the original as well... with the caveat that the infinitely respawning enemies can be super annoying. However, I think most people bought this game for the multiplayer.

I'm not saying that it's not possible - I was explaining that they don't owe it to anyone to port those maps over, nor are they obligated to give the maps away for free when they do.
