Nice. Drawing backgrounds is something I still am not good at and I've been drawing for 7 years.

Although there are a lack of props. This looks like some rundown, abandoned street, yet the sidewalk and street look almost perfectly clean. Maybe put some holes in the sidewalk and street, empty coke bottles, maybe even a dead rodent in the street. Make it look more like Detroit, basically.

And to top it all off - a crow in the sky. There's just something about crows that adds to the dark, abandoned theme.

I like the way you think.

Do have a color count for that? It looks like a good 16 bit beat em up style.
