This is just a warning, since I think the audience here is the most likely to buy a gaming console. Microsoft just recently banned a huge amount (I've read upwards of 1 million) of modded xbox 360's from xbox live.

So, if I were you, I wouldn't buy any used xbox 360s from ebay or websites like it, because that box will still be banned.
This is why you don't buy used 360s anyway. There's away to unban a 360, but you need 2 360s, and some tools to do it. It's not really worth doing in my opinion.

Eitherway, I think it's complete bullshit that MS is disabling features that are used offline when a console gets banned.
Don't mod your xbox, faggot.
nintendo 64 still is badass

Modding makes it more useful.

DT, we're talking about 360s. The most you can do with a firmware modded 360 is run burnt games. To run homebrew, you have to do the jtag mod. Even if you do that, you don't have much to choose from.

Eitherway, modifying the /original/ Xbox makes it alot more useful.

My point.

lol
I don't play on Xbox Live enough to worry about it. It costs a pretty penny to have your Xbox modded unless you know how to do it yourself, so it'd be pretty cool to get a modded xbox instead of a standard.
