I thought we went to war on Iraq because of weapons of mass destruction they supposedly had that we never found? The genocide of the Kurds in Iraq happened in the late 80's before the first Gulf War. So why not do something about it then? This is just another instance of a government cover up. To get people's minds off the fact that the reason to start the war on Iraq was because they had weapons of mass destruction. After finding none they arrest him on these charges that happened over 10 years ago. So when is Bush going to be charged with the genocide of middle easterners?
The government is corrupt and conniving. Take hurricane Katrina for instance. People who stayed reported an explosion before the levees broke. Afterwords places where people's houses existed were bought out and commercialized. A common practice among the government to decrease land value, buy it out cheap and build on. This doesn't sound too much worse then dictatorships to me, except dictators don't try to hide their motives.

The genocide of the Kurds in Iraq happened in the late 80's before the first Gulf War. So why not do something about it then? They forced Iraq to destroy its WMD. This is just another instance of a government cover up. To get people's minds off the fact that the reason to start the war on Iraq was because they had weapons of mass destruction. If you aren't an idiot, then it was turning a government mistake into lemonade. So when is Bush going to be charged with the genocide of middle easterners? You don't understand the concept of genocide; go look it up, preferably via dictionary.com. If Bush wanted to start the genocide of middle easterners, he would have been taken out of office. The government is corrupt and conniving. Take hurricane Katrina for instance. People who stayed reported an explosion before the levees broke. Besides, most of the homes were completely abandoned, anyway; they were falling apart with no owner around. |
Hussein viewed Kurds as a threat to him, as Bush viewed Iraq a threat to him. Genocide is the mass slaughter of people because of their religion, ethnicity, beliefs, ect. It seems we bombed/invaded/had tension with several countries with people of middle eastern decent killing many innocent people. Seems no different to me. Killing innocents is killing innocents no matter what the circumstances.
How many middle eastern counties have we had tension with now. As soon as Bush started with finding Osama in Afghanistan there was no stopping him. For a while it seemed we were going to go to war with a different middle eastern country every week. The government is corrupt and conniving. Take hurricane Katrina for instance. People who stayed reported an explosion before the levees broke. Afterwords places where people's houses existed were bought out and commercialized. A common practice among the government to decrease land value, buy it out cheap and build on. Besides, most of the homes were completely abandoned, anyway; they were falling apart with no owner around. Exactly the governments plan. They waited for a decent enough sized hurricane and destroyed the levees. Considering New Orleans is pretty much a soup bowl it wasn't hard to destroy the levees and let the hurricane do the rest. Then of course even those who had home owners insurance weren't paid or were paid crap. One excuse after another is they had flood insurance the insurance companies would claim causes from wind damage. It's not much of a secret the insurance companies and the government are pretty tight with each other. Once all these houses are condemned and the owners don't have the money to fix them back up after the insurance claims don't go through. The government buys them up cheap and gives Katrina victims relief checks for totally ridiculous amounts and not in the good way or they are denied altogether. Here in the city I live in a lot of apartments offered Katrina victims a one year rent free apartment. I met a lot of people from New Orleans most from the poor sections. These people really opened my eyes even more to the injustices of this country. You want proof look it up. You seem to point to Google for references for everything you have to say. I'm sure you can look anything I have to say up on Google too. |

Killing innocents is killing innocents no matter what the circumstances. Hussein viewed the Kurds as a threat to his reign. Bush viewed them as a threat to the country (in his own, feeble mind). There's a major difference in killing 1.5 million to keep control of a country versus a couple thousand to hopefully keep your country safe. Seriously, Hussein killed at least 100 times as many people as Bush, if not closer to 500 or 1000 times more. Also, we only went to war with two middle eastern countries. The government is corrupt and conniving. Take hurricane Katrina for instance. People who stayed reported an explosion before the levees broke. The only other thing from a credible source is some video of a crazy conservative speculating. Regardless, I doubt that a big levee breaking under the pressure of hurricane waters is perfectly quiet! |
@ the water on the moon post... >.> Wtf? lol dude, we want to find water elsewhere because water means life can exist.

I don't recall that, but if you consider that brainwashing, then that's sad. If anything, it's toying with stupid people who can't differentiate between a dictator and an extremist group leader. I was able to differentiate between the two when I was 9. Yeah.
Either way, while some parts of the government's attack on Iraq was wrong, others were perfectly justified. Seriously, google Saddam Hussein genocide and enjoy; bonus points if you go on Google images, I sincerely doubt that they didn't mind having him run their country. Also, keep in mind I already stated that I was against staying in Iraq after taking down Hussein.
The government never discriminated against middle eastern people, by the way. However, individuals, such as security guards, did. Blame this on feeble minded individuals.
Also, I don't mind the government too much, other than the terrible economic plan running rampant.
