Some of these may be a bit bias, but at least they provide common, solid facts unlike the trash-bin that id:726321 did.

Thanks for that post, Flame. I tried helping Vic understand. I replied honestly and attempted to be level headed about it. It's clear that he was either trolling or simply refuse to listen to what other people had to say.

It is times like when Vista was released uproars about ridiculous windows becoming even more ridiculous is when Linux really shines some of those myths away. That's how my friend went to Ubuntu. My friend went to ME and I never bugged him once about changing to Ubuntu. In fact he tried dragging me (I used Fedora once and awhile) and I was glad he did.
Right now I have a copy of Windows XP but I lost my authentication code to remove the 30 day limit, so I'm glad I have something I don't have to go buy off the shelf and break me even further in debt I already am. Thank you Linux and Ubuntu. If only BYOND would finally support it graphically it would make me a bit more happy. I hate Linux myths. My friend never had trouble except when he wanted to play games but that's a developer issue for that area. He still likes it today and enjoys the Ubuntu updates. I'd like to point out the Windows myths...fast, secure, and better than before! Those three always crack me up when I reinstall Windows when my OS expires. :) |
Well Neblim, I'm sure you're aware of wine if you've been frequenting this site and the advantages it holds, it's fairly close to the "real thing."

Yes I am, but full support from Byond's end would be nice, IMHO. Byond is the only reason why I still have Windows XP and it would be nice to make it disappear. :P Does Dream Maker work well in Wine because last time I checked it didn't do too well for me. Though it was a long time ago I have to admit.
