Well, I've been fighting it for twenty years now, but I've finally decided that its time to get my knee fixed. I damaged it when I was about 15, and it has been getting progressively worse ever since. Ive now got a loose piece of ligament that occasionally wraps itself around the back of my lower leg bone, locking my knee in place. It used to only stay that way for a day or two, but the last incident lasted for almost two weeks. The doctor said if I don't get it fixed soon, one of these times it isn't going to unlock.
Ok, I give...
So I finally get my x-rays and MRI done, and the doctor sets me up an appointment for two weeks from today. "Sure, no problem." I say, paying no attention to when that actually is, "I can make that." Well, I'm not really the superstitious type, but I'm not sure if Friday the 13th is really a day I want to have surgery done. :P
Wish me luck...

Hopefully the doctor will go through the surgery steps with you. If one of the tools is a machette, run! Er, unless your knee locks up. Then point out teenagers in the gynecology department so their deaths will give you time to crawl.

What are you talking about? Friday the 13th is an excellent day to get cut open.

Heh, you sound like me when it comes to injuries. Other than when i was like 1, and when I was born of course, I've never seen the inside of a hospital, even though I should have many times.
