My current (and likely final) schedule:

  • ANTH 045 – Anthropology 045, Cultural Anthropology. I'm mostly just taking it to get several general eds. out of the way. I have it Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:00 PM to 3:50 PM.
  • ASTRO 001 – Astronomy 001, Astronomical Universe. Once again, taking this course to fill a requirement for a general ed. requirement. I have it on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM.
  • CAS 100A – Effective Speech. It's just a speech course that everyone is required to take. Definitely looking forward to this class, given how much I hate public speaking. have it on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 11:40 AM. Yeah... that's gonna be fun, but on the plus side it's off-campus, and closer to my house than the campus is.
  • MATH 140 – Math 140, Calculus with Analytic Geometry. I have to take this and another calculus course the following semester for my major. Having never taken calculus before, I'm hoping the coursework doesn't rape me. I have it Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM, as well as on Tuesdays from 9:25 AM to 10:40 AM. There were several of this one, but it's the only class that doesn't conflict with the rest of my schedule, so I had to do it. Sucks that it's so early.
  • CMPSCI 121 – Computer Science 121, Introduction to Programming Techniques. In all likelihood, this will be an extremely easy class, but it's a pre-requisite for all other comp. sci. courses, and a requirement for my major. I have it on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:50 AM to 12:05 PM.

  • To sum it up: I'm going to have to get better at this whole "getting up before noon" thing.
Finally someone else who says Huzzah and is supposedly proud of it!
Just be glad that you don't have to wake up at 6 to get ready, like me. My school decided that, this year and for every subsequent year, the little kids get to wake up at 8, whereas the highschoolers have to get up from anywhere from 4:30 - 6:40.

Also, you never took calculus? That's surprising.
Piggybacking what Jeff said, be glad that you don't have to get up at 6 am to get to school for a 8am class..yet...Also, Calculus shouldn't be too hard as long as you ace the tests...This coming from someone taking it for the 2nd time '-.- but only because my Calculus 2 class had making at least C in Cal 1 as a pre-requisite...Anyways, good luck..Freshman?
To sum it up: I'm going to have to get better at this whole "getting up before noon" thing.

I managed it for two days.

Nothing wrong with huzzah.

Both "Huzzah" and "Hurrah" are part of my vocabulary. Not very uncommon at all.

[thumbsup.gif] You like this post.
Be glad you don't have to get up at 6am to travel to a class at 9am. 2 hour commutes are a bitch. Moving was the best thing I ever did.

30 minutes travel > 2+ hours travel

Actually, 2+ hours would be > than 30 minutes. Hur hur hur.
Calculus is like, just a combination of all the other forms of math (algebra, geometry, etc.)
For the most part, you're screwed if you haven't taken trigonometry.
Yeah, I understand the basics of calculus and how it works, though that really doesn't make it any less difficult. One saving grace, though, is that I'm actually rather decent at trigonometry and geometry. I've always been better at that than other forms of math.
